FFN Fly Rods

FFN"s Fly Rods are not good, they're great. FFN premium blanks with the highest quality fittings, custom finishing and great tapers. And by selling them direct, think of yourself as a fly shop, and your'e buying a FFN rod at dealer's cost. It doesn't get any better than that.

FFN Rods are offered in two configurations. Standard, to which you have many options, to customize the rod to your needs and desires. Black Beauty, FFN's top of the line, which has everything standard, and there are no additional charge options. So, if you're not satisfied with anything but the best, check out Black Beauty.

The smooth blanks are standard black in color, with a ultra violet coating. This UV coating is a urathane dried under ultra violet light. UV is thin, therefore less likely to affect the rod's action, and highly durable. The process was developed by the automobile industry to provide a cover coat for metallic colors. Only 2 or 3 other blank manufacturers are presently using it as it is time consuming and the equiptment to apply it is expensive.

FFN's multi piece rods have spigot ferrules, 2 piece rods use tip over butt. Either is designed for the maximium effecient transfer of energy and to keep the tapers flowing.

FFN rods use Cortland sliding band reel seats, Struble reel seats, winding checks and grips. Our guides are PacBay. These fittings are the finest on the market.

And for the Lady Flyfishers, be sure to check out FFN's Dame Julianna Models. This configuration has become so popular, even though it is only listed on afew models, it can be ordered as an option on any FFN model.

FFN fully warranties the workmanship and materials of the rods to original purchaser. Should you have a problem as a result of workmanship or materials, please send it back and we will repair or replace the damaged section. Damaged rods or blanks that are not due to these factors will be replaced at a reasonable cost.

These rods come standard with a cork filler and Cortland uplocking sliding band to reduce weight allowing the balance to be correct. Standard color thread wrapping is maroon. Ultra fine 6 1/2" style grip/nickle silver Struble winding check. Black guides and stripper.

Matt finish- add 10.

7" Ultra fine grip instead of 6 1/2" add 7.

Anti-Vibration option. Recommended only on 6 weight. Add 20.
