These finished rods come standard with a thin tapered Full Wells grip to make full day's casting a pleasure. Slightly longer than most, it allows a slight shifting of the grip either higher or lower on the handle to prevent hand cramping. The thin delicate lines of the Struble U-20 uplocking reelseat with a maple filler makes it stunning, along with being a superb fishing instrument. Black high gloss blank, with oversized black guides and stripper, nickle silver winding check.

The 8'6" 3 piece model is a medium action, for delicate presentation and all around Trout fishing.
The 9' 4 piece model uses a fast action high modulus graphite well suited for larger waters and longer casts.
Struble U-20 Uplocking Reel seat has an
upper nickle silver retaining ring. Notice the chamferred cork edge where
the grip meets the reel seat. This prevents the heel of the hand from rubbing
against a rough edge and the sharp edges of cork chipping. FFN pays great
attention to details. This chamferred edge is standard on all FFN rods and
most rods costing twice the price still leave sharp cork edges.
