DynaKing Fly Tying Accessories
All standard model Dyna-King vises give you the following state-of-the-art
Craftsmanship and Performance in the field of hook holding capability:
Hardened tool steel jaws accommodate a wide range of hook sizes (from 10/0
down). Convenient tension adjustment located immediately behind the jaws.
Hooks are secured by forward closing jaws. This unique feature offers greatest
mechanical advantage by locating pressure points as close to jaw tips as
possible.
360 degree rotation of the vise body allows complete access to the hook
and tying area.
The exclusive "Notch-Lock' cam stops the cam handle in exactly the
same position every time. Maintains precisely the same jaw pressure on hook
after hook after hook. No need to re-adjust while using the same sized hooks.
All models are available with either clamp or pedestal base. Clamps open
wide to accommodate heavy duty tables and/or benches. Pedestals are all
quite heavy (approximately 3-1/2 Ibs. for the standard pedestal), and are
equipped with non-skid "feet" to resist sliding on the table top
or tying bench.
Machined and polished construction renders your vise a thing of beauty.
Clean lines and simple adjustments, make tying with any Dyna-King vise a
joy.
All Dyna-King vises come with a life-time warranty against defects in materials
and workmanship.
ALL VISES ARE AVAILABLE WITH CLAMP OR PEDESTAL BASE EXCEPT EPOXY &
TUBE FLY VISE.

DynaKing Epoxy Vise
Finding another need in the fly-tying field in which he might contribute
to the skills and enjoyment of flytiers, Ron Abby has designed his new "Epoxy
Vise".
As the name indicates, the main function of this unique vise is to rotate
a fly to which epoxy has been applied, at exactly the right speed for curing.
Supported in precision ball bearings, the belt-driven vise is powered by
a 12 volt DC motor, mounted to an aluminum housing which conceals both the
belts and pulley mechanism. The unit is very quiet and allows a selection
of speeds, ranging from approximately 6 to 50 rpm. Speed control is by means
of a variable voltage transformer. The main power is standard household
110/120 voltage, which is immediately stepped down to 12 volts and protected
by a built-in, replaceable fuse. All wiring is concealed within the black
delrin base which affords exceptional insulation.
The vise proper is the time proven and tested DynaKing system of cam, forward-closing
jaws and convenient tension adjusting forcing cone. Vise construction is
of stainless steel, aluminum and tool steel. Jaws are both hardened and
drawn. Grooves in the jaws allow secure holding of hooks form 10/0 down.
The exclusive "Notch-Lok" cam maintains tension control and constant
position of the cam handle upon closure.
After a fly is tied and epoxy is applied, the vise is simply turned on and
allowed to rotate until the epoxy is cured. The fly may then be removed
without smearing or deforming the epoxy portion of the fly as happens with
conventional drying methods.

HISTORY Myfather was a fly-fisherman. With his help, I caught my first trout:
a seven inch golden, on a McGinty. We were 9000 feet up, standing in a snow
bank at the edge of a pocket lake that drained into the headwaters of the
San Joaquin River. I remember shivering; perhaps with excitement but also
with the coolness of a crisp May morning. It was 1938, the beginning of
my love affair with trout.
Eight years later, my entrepreneurial father moved our family to a mining
claim on a tributary of the pristine Smith River of northern California.
Obtaining a "special use" permit from the United States Forest
Service, our family built and operated the rainbow trout hatchery and farm
known as "Trout Haven". My teen years were spent either working
with the trout or fishing for them on the Smith and its feeder streams.
Fishing as often as time and resources allowed, the years passed more quickly
than I could have imagined. My rapture with trout continued. In 19751 met
a fellow fly fisherman who was renowned as a fly tyer extraordinaire. Dissatisfied
with his tying equipment, he said, "Ron, why don't you build a good
vise? One that will hold a hook!" In 1981 I presented him with my first
production vise. That was the beginning of DynaKing, and that fisherman
and fly tyer was Grant F. King.

DynaKing SupremeWithout a doubt, the finest vise available. Offers all the features mentioned above as well as infinite angle change of the vise body (within the range of the vise). One adjustment allows you to pre-set the amount of pressure necessary to move the vise bodv: merelv grasp the vise body and place it at the angle you wish. Rock solid jaws hold a full range of hooks securely. Velvety-smooth vise rotation allows you to rotate the fly for trimming, cementing or just viewing. Rotation is so smooth, many tiers use the Supreme as a rotary vise. The "rotary lock screw" secures the vise from rotation, in any position. It also serves to set "drag" on the rotary feature.

DynaKing Salt Water SpecialRecent trends in fly fishing are creating new demands in both fly construction
and on the tools used to fabricate some of the truly colossal piscatorial
patterns currently in use for luring such oceanic game as marlin, sailfish
and other larger denizens of the open seas.
A world record was recently established for black marlin using a "fly"
22 inches in length. Tying a fly of such dimension can be greatly facilitated
by having tools designed specifically for the fabrication for these bait
fish imitators.
The "Salt-Water-Special", designed by Ron Abby, and now being
offered by Dyna-King, offers exceptional access and the ability to be readily
manipulated for position and attitude to aid those constructing these monster
flies.
By adding extra length to both the vise body and to the hook-holding jaws,
the "Salt Water Special" utilizes all the great feature of the
renown "Supreme" fly-tying vise, manufactured by Dyna-King and
currently recognized as the industry leader of quality vises.
Available in either clamp or pedestal configuration, the "Salt Water
Special" is affordable priced at just a few dollars more than the "Supreme".
